i think its hard to find white male comedians who are really funny, because of the offensive part.
a lot of male comedians do observational humor, which involves pointing out the absurdity in things so other people can go “oh yeah, that is weird!” but a lot of times they do it in a way that puts down another type of people, because they don’t know how else to do it.
"hey, this person does something that i think is weird. let’s mock them by comparing them to another type of person that i find outlandish and outside of my societal expectations!" (ex. the pop singers are like autistic people bit). white male comedians do this all the time.
i feel like it just shows a mean spirit and a lack of creativity? there is no one marginalized group you can mock that hasn’t been made fun of to the moon and back already.
the best observational humor, i’ve found, doesn’t mock people at all? it’s.. literally just observation. like, ‘why do people call it doggy style if every other animal does it that way? have you ever seen cows doing missionary?’ like. it is possible. you just have to be creative and insightful enough to think of it.
